Roadtrip Recap

Hey guys! The past couple weeks have been INSANE! Between helping my bestie plan her wedding, birthday celebrations for both my parents, trying to workout regularly and going out of town, I just haven't had time to do much around the house. My bathroom still looks exactly like it did in the picture from my last post (step stool and all), but I promise I am going to finish it one of these days! Even though I am really anxious to get that bathroom done, I'm still really glad that I got to take some time off last week to go on an awesome road trip with my hubby :) I thought I'd share some of the highlights with you!
We got to spend some time in Charleston, SC and it was so lovely. The historic charm and gorgeous architecture made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I am, unashamedly, a "real estalker", which means I love nothing more than goggling at beautiful homes.  So this city is my own personal heaven. If you've never been, go. You won't be disappointed.

Next, we stopped in Wilmington, NC for a wedding (congratulations Jamison and Katherine!) and AGAIN, what an adorable town! While we were there, we spent a day at the beach....
And we were even lucky enough to stay in a 200 year old historic home in the heart of Wilmington. I just loved the character and charm of this old home. I didn't even mind that we supposedly had a ghost friend. She didn't bother us!

Our last stop was none other than the lively and historic New Orleans, Louisiana! The french quarter was bursting with charm and everywhere I turned there was something gorgeous to look at. My hubby and I had breakfast at the world famous Cafe du Monde and it was delicious. We even braved Bourbon Street, and it was really fun! It was a great place to people watch and have a few drinks.

The trip was fantastic, and we absolutely cannot wait until our next travel adventure. What about you? Have you been hit with the "travel bug" lately? What is your favorite destination?

Thanks for stopping by!
-Jesse
